What is a Good score in vision Abhyaas tests?
bro I have a few questions for you
1)I have been getting stuck in the 50-50 rut i.e I successfully eliminate and come down to the last two options. But in the abhyaas tests I have ended up with 12-15 questions marked incorrectly. Have you ever faced a situation like this and how to go about it?
How do you study things like tribes, dances, crops and other miscellaneous topics as such? (do add on to this lsit for the purpose of coverage)
I have been covering vision monthly since last may, yet my current affairs has taken a serious beating in the abhyaas tests. do i supplement it with PT 365 or just focus on revisions?
(scores - Forum open 85
abhyas 1 - 65
abhyas 2 - 68)
50:50 questions did cost me 5-6 questions in this test too!
As far as possible try applying logic between the leftover options(I know it sounds cliche,but do think about the bigger picture) which among the two might be most suitable.If you cant arrive at a solution either the question is designed intricately OR there is a lacuna in your way of approaching things
1.Dances,Music,Pottery,GI(in news),Puppetry etc by dividing the country into North,South,East,West and marking them on maps
If such division is not possible you can mark them on the basis of internal classification like string,shadow,glove,rod puppetry on the map and add a line or two beside it!
2.Current affairs in booklets should be supplemented with solving daily CA questions on any platform;If you cant do it daily whenever you revise a month's CA complement it by solving that month's daily CA test which will have a little extra info that might come in handy
And as far as possible when you are not confident about a particular question instead of choosing the correct option try eliminating the wrong options,this has worked for me quite a lot of times!
All the best!
Abhyaas 1 107
Abhyaas 2 120
@ManchesterUnited Generally what is the accuracy of the questions that you attempt in the first round?
@Omen what's the score of 100th ranker?
@exman Around 60%
But changes from paper to paper
I loose out more in second round
But I do fire a few shots in air in the 3rd round which do yield 1-2 questions!
@ManchesterUnited How do you attempt 90qs?
I could barely attempt 60qs
How to increase the exposure since I heard many saying that you barely know more than 40qs in first round?
So for someone to hit 90qs, you have to play around with rest 50qs, given you know only 40 in round 1.
Now, given your case, I assume you knew more than 50qs in the first round.
Could you please clarify on how many qs you attempt in round 1 and round 2?
@sleepingwarrior I solved around 62-65 questions in first round
20-25 in round two
Rest 2-4 I tried my luck ie Epigenitics and Oxy poly gel etc.
Anything beyond 115 in abhyaas 2 is very good for this paper, can be assured of clearing pre if consistency is maintained.
I scored 112.. 27 wrong. Didn't give the first test
@Phagocyte Bhai, why -ves are so high? I observed that most of the good scoring ppl, have -ves in more than 20 Qs.
@Akbar_Birbal that's how i prepare brother. More breadth and less depth+ revision. I don't expect to have less than 20 negatives in the final exam either. Pre 2018, 22 negatives but scored cutoff+20. Hope it works again
I attempt more, get more wrong, but score is better than what i would have got had i played safe.
We need to evolve our own strategy based on what works.
@Phagocyte Yes bro
Even I find this approach more appalling than playing safe and answering 70-75!
I make sure I always attempt 89-94
@shoegazer said in What is a Good score in vision Abhyaas tests?:
112 in Abhyaas test 1
90 in neostencil open test 1
74 in Forum simulator open test
Abhyaas 2 - 121.34
but I attempt at home from pdfs
I scored 80, rank will be 1800 I think as some body told me
@ManchesterUnited hey , about the map thing that u have mentioned, have u created a set of maps for each topic or subject (besides dances)
Also would you mind sharing those self created maps ?
And your 2nd suggestion is new, planning to try that out from today along with my CA revision ,
@Omen can you please share the sources of your preparation
Just 48.. I made lots of silly mistakes.. 42 right around 40 wrong.. I worked on trivial area last week where I lacked.. let see how next test will enlighten me
