Post Mains 2019- Interview Preparation
-
What parts of DAF is available with the interview board?
How to prepare for the interview/DAF-2? -
Do we get enough time after mains result
-
@captainkod Same question. Seniors please suggest, is the 50 (minimum) days enough to prepare for interview? I want to strengthen my optional till then.
-
Well, unlike mains, interview does not have a syllabus. The father your residence from Delhi, the later your interview. So, you maybe 50 days or 100 days away from interview.
CUrrent affairs are a part of almost all interviews. ANd you need to revise CA for all stages of the exam anyways. I would suggest making opinions on current issues and analyzing them. DOn't prepare your DAF related questions right now because if you don't make it to the interview(can happen to the brightest of us), it will all be a waste of time.
-
@Champak The theory of interviews being scheduled as per the distance of your residence from Delhi is no longer a factor I guess because it wasn't last time. It was all randomly arranged last year, almost as if all regions were represented on all days of the interviews.
-
@foxmulder Oh, I wouldn't know it then. I stand corrected. Haven't been appearing for interviews since 2017.
-
@Champak Yeah they really scrambled the list last time. Earlier it was the way you suggested. I think they might again follow the similar pattern as last year.
-
@Champak Sir, interview does has a syllabus. An outline structure.
-
@madeye Right! I meant not a prescribed one like your GS or optional papers. But yes you can guess the questions that can be asked with a fair degree of accuracy.

Hello everyone! I'm not from Delhi, but I was considering coming to Delhi for interview coaching for a few days, just so that I get a variety of styles/diverse types of mocks. I want to avoid the risk of just sitting by myself. Anyone familiar with these interview coaching outfits?
- Vajiram
- SankalpIAS
- Chaitanya
If anyone knows any better ones, please feel free to suggest. Much appreciated.
-
@bigboy Sankalp gives u max 2 mocks, they are quite good. Vajiram is good too, no idea about Chaitanya. Don't go for vision, their interview faculty is bad and it is costly too.
-
Can non delhi people apply for vision personality test program ? If anyone have idea please elobarate what the program is all about ? Thank you
-
@vvvikas0078212 How's Drishti for interview mocks?
-
@shubhamsatyam22484 Sorry don't know. I have tried Vision Chanakya and Sankalp only. Vajiram was done by some friends. In Vajiram, I think they also let you watch the mocks of others which is quite helpful.
-
@shubhamsatyam22484 Drishti's interview process is good.
-
@bigboy vajiram isnt good... sankalp is average but just that u can give mocks n discuss with peers..no idea of chaitanya....
-
@ranyo_asoka Can you highlight why you didn't like Vajiram?
I've heard Brijendra sir mentors personally. I've been a classroom student of Vajiram so, feel free to take names. -
@shubhamsatyam22484 the hall is like a dungeon chamber..with others (aspirants+ their friends)watching behind ur back...dsnt give that inteview feel..further smtimes questions are random...i was being asked sciences question definitions that too like rapid fire mode..gave 1 mock interview n nvr went thr again....plus with other aspirants watching u, u cant spell out ur ingenious answers which can be copied by others..so u cant be free there
-
@ranyo_asoka This was really helpful. Thanks.
-
@ranyo_asoka Can we just watch others nd not give mock ourselves.. that will also be helpful
